Data Architect – Healthcare Technology – Remote (LATAM)
Join a fast-growing healthcare technology company to lead the modernization of a decades-old technology stack. You will diagnose complex data challenges, design the target-state data architecture, and drive the migration from legacy, under-schematized environments to modern, cloud-native frameworks (AWS).
You’ll define scalable schema strategies, event-driven patterns, and robust data lifecycle policies while establishing architecture standards that reduce inconsistencies and preserve institutional knowledge. This is a high-impact, strategic role for a forward-thinking architect with strong executive presence, ready to build the AI-native data foundation for the next generation of healthcare products.
💰 Salary: $66,000 – $126,000/year ($5,500 – $10,500/month)
📍 Location: Remote – LATAM (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay)
🗓️ Job Type: 6-month contract (40h/week), with possibility of long-term extension
🎯 Experience: 8+ years in data architecture and platform design
🔧 Stack: AWS, SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, event-driven/streaming architectures
🧠 Skills: Target-state architectural design, data modeling, data governance, disaster recovery (DR) strategies, legacy-to-modern migration
🚀 Bonus: Experience standing up a data architecture function from scratch, Healthcare/EMR/EHR/HIPAA background
🗣️ Languages: English (C1 required – strong executive presence and communication skills)
🎓 Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
🛡️ Probation Period: 90 days
