Senior AI/ML Engineer – Process Intelligence & Agentic AI – On-Site – San Francisco, CA
Join a fast-growing, seed-stage AI startup building the foundational platform for enterprise process intelligence and agentic AI. You’ll build the core AI systems layer that turns messy, real-world enterprise data into structured, reliable process intelligence.
You will own the architecture for retrieval, context construction, model selection, structured extraction, and orchestration. Working with hosted frontier models, you’ll design robust evaluation pipelines, implement guardrails, and ensure AI behavior is measurable, reliable, and safe in production. This is a hands-on, high-agency role for a senior applied AI engineer who thrives on solving complex systems problems and cares deeply about AI quality and observability.
💰 Salary: $180,000 – $275,000/year + competitive early-stage equity
📍 Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site, 5 days/week – hard requirement)

🎯 Experience: 4–6+ years building production software, ML, or applied AI systems
🔧 Stack: Python, Go, PostgreSQL, React/TypeScript, GCP, Docker, Datadog
🤖 AI Skills: Hosted LLM APIs, RAG, structured extraction, agentic workflows, eval pipelines, AI observability
🧠 Mindset: Systems thinking, AI quality ownership (guardrails, golden datasets, regression testing), pragmatic problem-solver
